Apologies for the delayed response. Our stay at Two Styx was great. The new Cabin 1 was getting built when we were out there and it’s looking good. Only issues we found with the cabins was that in Lyrebird having the microwave and stove on at the same time tripped the power at the box next to Cabin 1. No big deal, the instructions next to the powerboard in the main bedroom made it clear to check the box next to Cabin 1. The patio boards at both cabins are also losing a bit of structural integrity. None are broken but there are quite a few soft spots and areas where they’ve swelled around nails/screws so they spring up and down. The fishing was a bit average, I don’t think the hot summer did any of the streams a favour. Got one nice rainbow from the dam and also found a few browns up the Little Styx. All released. Caught a few more fish in Styx below the falls, in the Guy Fawkes and a couple of the Dorrigo streams but they took a lot of finding. In regard to the charging cable for the torch and the silicon glove from Flame Robin, none of my mates accidentally took them home and aren’t aware of what happened to them. I’m very sorry about that – if you haven’t found them out there, let me know how much they’re worth and I’ll send you the money via bank transfer.
