We really enjoyed our stay at Two Styx. The weather was pretty chilly and so we thoroughly enjoyed the warmth of the cosy cabin. Fortunately there were times when the weather cleared enough for us to do most of the walks and it was really beautiful in the mist and wind and sometimes sun. We were afforded plenty of clear vistas from the lookout as well. All in all a really rejuvenating break. We meant to leave a note, just a small addition to your bird list. We disturbed a white throated nightjar on one of our wanderings over the hill to the creek. We went back a couple of times hoping it might have a nest but couldn’t find anything. The flame robins were a treat as we don’t see them down in the valley! Now it is back to the chores at home but we will definitely be back and will recommend to others.
