Two Styx walking trails

Five walking trails on our 360-hectare property have been established in 2022 for our guests to explore & enjoy.

* Lower Little Styx Creek Trail

* Upper Little Styx Creek Trail

* Two Styx Summit Trail

* Fern Valley Trail

* Beech Creek Trail

Please read the trail notes before setting out as well as the Plan your walk and stay safe guide, which is in the cottage/cabin information folder. All our walking trails are linked so that you can combine trails—just follow the guide posts.

Please return the brochure/map to your cabin or the cottage for use by other guests.

New England National Park

Check out the New England National Park which is right next door. The Tea Trees Falls Walk starts from the Thungutti Camping Area which is only a ten minute walk from Two Styx – out the front gate, over the Styx River and turn left onto Point Lookout Road. After you reach the New England National Park (there is a map in the information area) you turn left into Thungutti Camping Area. There is a brochure in the information folder with details on all the walks, including Lyrebird Walk, Robinson’s Knob Trail, Cliffs Trail, Cascades Walk and Eagle’s Nest Track. There are some great sights on the 360Ha property of Two Styx but none better than the Little Styx Creek which runs roughly along the northern and western boundary of the property. If you head off past the big shed and up and over the hill in a north-westerly direction you will reach the Little Styx after about 30 minutes.

Bushwalking NSW has a regular newsletter (copies are available in the cottage and cabins) and many helpful hints.

Armidale Bushwalking Club has a great program of regular walks.

National Parks of NSW Association has lots of walks, activities and information on Bushwalking with NPA.

Remains of the Yooroonah Tank Traps are located about 13km from Two Styx – there are instructions for locating them in the information folder under Getting out and about at Two Styx.
